KABUL: A shadow district governor of Taliban militants have been killed by security forces in eastern Nangarhar province.
According to the Ministry of Interior, Gul Agha Pacha, the so-called governor of Taliban for Kot District was killed and 11 of his companions wounded in one of the several raids conducted in Nangarhar, Urozgan, Kunar and Kandahar provinces since yesterday.
37 other militants were also killed in these raids. Gul Agha Pacha is the second district governor Taliban group is losing in Nangarhar province since yesterday. Rustam Haqyar was the group’s shadow governor for Rodat District who was gunned down along with nine of his men in a raid on Tuesday.
