KABUL (Sayer Zaland) : The Afghan government has demanded Pakistan to
extend the stay of about one million registered Afghan refugees by two
    years.
The demand came in a tripartite meeting of Pakistan, Afghanistan and
United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) officials in Kabul on Saturday.
The meeting also deliberated upon the registration of about 1.5
million unregistered Afghan refugees in Pakistan. The Afghan officials
were told that the Pakistan government has allocated Rs700 million for
    this purpose in the budget.
The registration process of unregistered Afghan refugees was to begin
on 25 July, but it was postponed over the Afghan government’s request.
The registration period of Afghan refugees in Pakistan will expire in
    December, 2015.
